The Disciplines of a Follower of Christ
At Community Night 2026, we will explore spiritual disciplines that shape the life of a believer through teaching from the Book of Psalms.
The Christian life is not simply about believing the right things — it is about learning to live in rhythms that keep our hearts close to God.
Throughout Scripture, especially in the Book of Psalms, we see believers expressing their hearts to God through prayer, praise, confession, and trust. These patterns shape how we grow in relationship with Him.
Bringing our hearts honestly before God.
Hearing and responding to God’s Word.
Encouraging one another as believers.
Resting in His promises even in difficult seasons.
Joe Cho is the lead pastor of Chapel Sydney.
Joe will be speaking from the Book of Psalms, helping youth understand how spiritual disciplines such as prayer, reading Scripture, and trusting in God shape the Christian life.
His message will focus on how believers can find rest, hope, and guidance in God, knowing that He is unchanging and faithful through Jesus Christ.
Exact timings may be adjusted closer to the event, but this gives youth, parents, and leaders a clear picture of the evening.
The venue was chosen because it is accessible by public transport, easy to reach by car, and has space for youth to gather, play games, and participate in discussion groups.
